Prince William and Kate ‘furious’ with Harry over explosive accusation, insider claims
EXCLUSIVE: Kensington Palace insiders have lifted the lid on Prince William and Princess Kate's relationship with Prince Harry following the release of his tell-all memoir, Spare.
Prince William and Princess Kate are “furious” with Prince Harry over a claim the Duke made about his brother in his memoir, Spare, a Palace insider has claimed.
In an exclusive interview with Daily Express US, Tom Quinn, author of Gilded Youth: An Intimate History of Growing Up in the Royal Family, revealed his private conversations with Palace insiders.
The conversations suggest the Prince and Princess of Wales are still reeling from Harry’s explosive claims in his tell-memoir, released earlier this year.
“I interviewed people that worked for Harry and Meghan when they were in England. I also interviewed people that worked for Kate and William. They say that privately there’s a lot more anger than there is publicly,” Mr Quinn said.
He continued: “William and Kate are especially furious about the accusation that William physically assaulted Harry.”

The royal author added: “Brothers fight all the time. They get on really well at the same time.”
Mr Quinn continued: “William is really angry about the whole idea that these difficulties should be aired in public.”
What was said?
In Spare, released on January 10, Harry claims his brother physically attacked him as their relationship frayed over the Duke’s marriage to Meghan Markle.
Recounting a tense exchange at his London home in 2019, Harry claims William called Meghan “difficult”, “rude” and “abrasive”, which Harry calls a “parrot[ing of] the press narrative” about his American wife.

The confrontation then turned physical, Harry writes, when William “grabbed me by the collar, ripping my necklace, and … knocked me to the floor”.
The Duke’s autobiography also portrays Kate in a negative light.
At one point, Harry claims Kate made his wife cry over bridesmaids dresses ahead of their 2018 wedding.
Harry also partially blames William and Kate for his ill-judged decision to wear a Nazi costume.
