Prince William and Princess Kate have arrived in Hereford where they are visiting Madley Primary School’s Forest School as well as meeting local mental health charity, We Are Farming Minds.
The Prince and Princess of Wales arrived at the Forest School this afternoon, to learn about its pioneering outdoor learning used to enhance children’s physical and mental wellbeing.
The royal couple helped pupils prepare food around a campfire as they explored the premises and they were also gifted books for their children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis by the school.
They also helped students debark logs as well as make a tree den.
At one point, Prince William accidentally knocked a branch off the den while inspecting it, before putting it back in its place.

The Prince and Princess of Wales told staff and pupils that “more schools need the opportunity to do things like this.”
Forest School teaches pupils both national curriculum subjects outdoors, in a woodland environment, where they also get to learn environmental awareness, conservation and woodland management.
Later on, the pair headed to Kings Pitt Farm, where they met with Duchy of Cornwall farming tenants and We Are Farming Minds founders, Sam and Emily Stables.
We Are Farming Minds is a charity working to support the mental health of farmers in rural communities throughout the county and was founded after the couples’ struggles with their own mental wellbeing and seeing the stigma around mental health in the farming industry.
It offers Herefordshire farmers fully funded access to a range of services including counselling, a 24-hour phone and text support line, free mental health awareness workshops and social events throughout the year to break feelings of isolation.

The pair are carrying on their royal duties this week as Princess Kate visited HMP High Down in Surrey on Tuesday to learn about how The Forward Trust – which she is a patron of – is supporting those in the criminal justice system to manage and recover from their addictions.
She also held an Early Years meeting at Windsor Castle while her brother-in-law Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle celebrated the Invictus Games with veterans in Germany.
Prince William visited a construction site in West London on Wednesday to discuss the prevalance of suicide in the construction industry.
Both William and Kate have focused much of their royal work on mental health awareness over the years.
Madley Primary School and We Are Farming Minds are partners of The Duchy of Cornwall.
