Prince William ‘blanks Harry from his mind’ as there’s ‘no way back’ for feuding brothers

Prince William was notably absent in wishing Prince Harry a public happy birthday message, with one royal expert warning there was "no way back" from the brothers' royal feud.

Prince William has “no intention” of reconciling with his brother Prince Harry after the heir to the throne failed to publicly wish the Duke of Sussex a happy birthday, according to a royal expert.

Prince Harry turned 39 on Saturday and Prince William failed to extend his birthday wishes to his brother, at least publicly.

Speaking before the occasion, royal expert and journalist Jennie Bond predicted that William was “hurt so deeply” by Harry that he wouldn’t send his regards even privately.

Ms Bond told The Sun’s Fabulous Magazine: “There is no way back for the brothers. I just can’t see it.

“Because of these entrenched positions and the fact Harry has visited the UK without either of them, as far as we know, lifting a finger to phone or text or meet up, I really can’t see them mending the rift any time soon.

“William is hurt so deeply that I think he probably just blanks Harry out of his mind most of the time. He has moved on with his life, and I guess so has Harry.”

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry celebrated the Duke’s birthday in Dusseldorf, Germany where the Invictus Games were being held.

After Prince Harry and Meghan Markle took their seats the announcer said: “Is there anybody here celebrating their own special occasion today? Anyone’s birthday? Oh, I think it is someone’s birthday. A certain Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, is 39 today. Happy birthday! Let’s sing along.”

The crowd sang Happy Birthday to Prince Harry who clapped along before mouthing “thank you”.

The games concluded on Saturday night when the Duke of Sussex gave an inspiring speech in which he urged the audience not to “judge people on their past pain”.

During the speech, Harry also appeared to make a subtle jab at the Royal Family telling veterans “should not feel lost without a uniform”.

Prince Harry was stripped of his military titles following his and Meghan’s break from the Royal Family and the Duke has been barred from wearing his uniform during official royal events – namely the Queen’s funeral last year.

Tears were seen in the Duke’s eyes during his remarks Saturday night and the crowd gave the Prince an emotional round of applause.

The Royal Family’s social media accounts were notably mute on the subject of the Duke’s birthday, instead posting about King Charles, Prince William, Princess Kate, and Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh.

Buckingham Palace has previously indicated that only working royals will receive public birthday well-wishes.

Still, the absence is a stark reminder of the divide between the Sussexes and the rest of the royals. As Meghan and Harry head back to the US – their home since 2020 – royal reconciliation seems a long way off.
