How [Spoiler] and [Spoiler]’s “Jarring” Affair Will Affect the Organized Crime Squad
“It complicates the relationship within the squad," reveals the actress who plays one of the characters involved in an affair on Organized Crime.
Fans are still reeling over the Season 4 premiere episode of Law & Order: Organized Crime, which ended in a shocking smooch between two characters that previously had no romantic involvement with each other.
In fact, one of them is married.
In the episode, detectives Bobby Reyes (Rick Gonzalez) and Jet Slootmaekers (Ainsley Seiger) of the NYPD’s Organized Crime Control Bureau go undercover, posing as a couple shopping for luxury car skins at a business secretly aiding a major fentanyl ring.

At the end of the episode, Reyes shows up at Jet’s apartment, where the two share a steamy kiss — and reveal that this is not their first makeout session.
As the credits rolled, so many questions were left unanswered. When did the affair start? Where is it going? As fans process the shocking development, the cast shared some thoughts on the matter with NBC Insider.
What did Ainsley Seiger say about the kiss between Jet Slootmaekers and Bobby Reyes?
Seiger, who plays clever OCCB staffer Jet, told NBC Insider that she was “stunned” when she read about the passionate moment between her and co-star Rick Gonzalez in the episode’s script.
Seiger said it took her a while to get used to the idea of the affair “because it’s so jarring and you’re always rooting for your character to, I guess, do the right thing, or you want them to be well… I want Jet to be well and happy.”

How will Jet and Reyes’ affair affect the Organized Crime squad?
“It complicates the relationship within the squad… interpersonally, on a different level with everyone,” Seiger told NBC Insider, adding that the drama is both interesting to watch and to portray onscreen.
The actress said that the most complicated part of Jet and Reyes’ kiss for her, is the fact that Reyes is married, revealing that while she’d heard some chatter about the moment from others, it wasn’t until she read the script that she really felt the weight of the scene.
“I had only heard whispers from a lot of other people about what was going on,” Seiger said. “So I’m getting a lot of information out of context from a lot of different people, and I finally read it and I was like, ‘Oh it is happening. Jet, no!’ But I think she’ll come out of it ok, at least that’s my hope for the season.”

What does Danielle Moné Truitt think of Jet and Reyes’ affair?
Danielle Moné Truitt — who plays NYPD Sergeant Ayanna Bell, the boss of Jet and Reyes — told NBC Insider that: “Most of the issues that their affair is causing is between them two.”
Truitt adds, “If you’ve ever been in a situation like that, it’s just awkward, like there’s this awkward energy.”
