Tributes have poured in for Suits star Billy Miller as his heartbroken mother revealed that he took his own life aged 43 after a ‘valiant’ battle with bipolar depression.
Miller played Marcus Specter, younger brother of main character Harvey Specter, from Season 6 to 9. Lead actor Gabriel Macht wrote on X: ‘Rip my TV bro… I am touched by ur thoughtfulness, ur authentic honest approach to ur art.’
Co-creator of the legal drama series Aaron Kosh also posted a touching tribute to the actor, saying it was ‘very sad news for the entire Suits family.’ Miller’s co-star, Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle, has not spoken out following his death.
The soap opera actor and three-time Daytime Emmy winner, who also starred on The Young and the Restless, died on Friday in Austin, Texas, as reported by soap opera journalist Michael Fairman.
Patricia Miller issued a statement to Soap Opera Digest Monday to clear up rumors circulating about her son’s passing.
‘He fought a long hard valiant battle with bipolar depression for years,’ Patricia said of her late son. ‘He did everything he could to control the disease.’
Patricia said her son ‘loved his family, his friends and his fans but in the end the disease won the fight and he surrendered his life.’
