The Princess of Wales has arrived at the Royal Naval Air Station Yeovilton - marking her first visit since the King granted her the new title of Commodore-in-Chief of the Fleet Air Arm.
Kate arrived in a royal helicopter
The Princess of Wales has arrived at the Royal Naval Air Station Yeovilton, which is one of the Royal Navy’s two principal air stations and one of the busiest military airfields in the UK, in a royal helicopter.
She stepped out in a chic suit and her long brunette locks down as she chatted with members of the force.
Pictures showed her walking along the base before heading inside where she looked elated as she inflated a life jacket.
It comes after it was announced last month that King Charles had granted his daughter-in-law the title of Commodore-in-Chief of the Fleet Air Arm.
Today’s engagement marks Princess Kate’s first visit there since being bestowed the new honour.

The new title came as a review of all military titles and positions held by members of the Royal Family was carried out by the Palace.
During the visit, Her Royal Highness spent time in the Air Traffic Control (ATC) tower, where she met ATC staff and spoke with an airborne Wildcat crew.
The ATC team’s role is to enable the safe, operational and training flying output of RNAS Yeovilton.
Whilst in the tower, Kate paid a visit to the Visual Control Position and met with staff and viewed aircraft operating to the airfield.
The Princess of Wales, who was clearly excited for her visit, had the opportunity to visit a hangar to engage with personnel and
hear in person about different operations within the Fleet Air Arm.
While present, Kate was able to conduct training exercises with the Navy Survival Equipment technicians, who are there to provide specialist training and equipment to protect and enhance the Fleet Air Arm’s aviation operations.

The Princess of Wales also met servicemen and women and viewed two helicopters on site.
The first helicopter is the Merlin MK4, which is deployed by Royal Marine Commandos globally to provide disaster relief.
The second was the Merlin MK2 – an Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) platform – which is used for a variety of activities including tracking submarines, supporting disaster relief operations and providing training for the next generation of engineers and aircraft.
Also noticeable about Kate’s latest visit was a slight tweak to her hairstyle, following last week’s switch-up – which royal fans went wild for.
