Amber Marshall Thinks That Heartland Has Become Depressing Since Ty’s Death
Amber Marshall acted alongside Graham Wardle since season one. Their characters started off as angsty teenagers before becoming a married couple with a daughter.
In a recent interview with the Hallmark Podcast, Marshall opened up about how she felt season 14 was very depressing due to the death of Ty.
“Season 14 was very depressing. I have to say. There’s an event that happens, which I’m sure you’re aware of, that just shattered the Heartland family. And it kind of tore us up a little bit too because this is a character that’s been with all of us for 14 years, 13 years,” she said.
While Marshall took it hard when she learned about Wardle’s plans to leave the show, she supported his decision. She felt hurt about his departure but wanted what was best for him.
“Of course, we’re a very supportive group of people. We care about each other very much, we have been working together for over a decade,” said Amber.
“I think it’s so important to listen to our gut and know what really drives us and to follow that. And yes, you’re going to hurt people along the way. But he did it in such a respectful way to all of us. And I think that that is the most important thing,” she continued.
