‘NCIS’ Season 21 – 8 Main Cast Members Returning, 1 in Reduced Role!
Back in February, CBS confirmed that NCIS would be back for Season 21 during the 2023-2024 television season.
“BIG news. Get ready to grab your gear, we’ve got more work to do. #NCIS has officially been renewed for Season 21! We’ll see you there,” the network announced.
While there is no release date yet, CBS confirmed that the show will keep its Monday night slot at 9 p.m. ET, with NCIS: Hawaii following with new Season 3 episodes at 10 p.m. ET.
We also know which main cast members have renewed their contracts, and which one is taking on a significantly reduced role.
Sean Murray as Special Agent Timothy McGee – RETURNING
Wilmer Valderrama as Special Agent Nick Torres – RETURNING
Katrina Law as Special Agent Jessica Knight – RETURNING
Gary Cole as Supervisory Special Agent Alden Parker – RETURNING
Brian Dietzen as Chief Medical Examiner Dr. Jimmy Palmer – RETURNING
Diona Reasonover as Forensic Specialist Kasie Hines – RETURNING
Rocky Carroll as NCIS Director Leon Vance – RETURNING
David McCallum as NCIS Historian and former Chief Medical Examiner Dr. Donald “Ducky” Mallard – REDUCED ROLE
“I am delighted to say that I have reached an agreement with CBS for Dr. Donald Mallard to stay with NCIS for Season 16. Once again it will be a limited schedule. That arrangement will allow me to spend time with Katherine, our children, six grandsons, and Nickie,” the 89-year-old actor wrote to fans.
