NCIS: Hawaii Season 3 Cast: Who’s In And Who’s Out?
NCIS: Hawaii season 3 is on the forefront of our minds despite the strike delay. Like all of CBS’ scripted line-up, the series has been pushed to 2024. Hopefully, we’ll see its return come the midseason (typically sometime between January and March) and the series won’t get pushed to next fall.
For the time being, there isn’t much to share about the next season, however, we do have information on the cast members expected to be in season 3 including whether or not LL Cool J will feature as Sam Hanna. Here’s what we know!
NCIS: Hawaii season 3 cast: Who’s in and who is out?
Will Captain Joe Milius be in NCIS: Hawaii season 3?
Presumably, Enver Gjokaj will reprise is role at some point in the third season. He hasn’t been announced as making an exit. While the captain isn’t a part of the operation in Hawaii anymore due to his transfer to the Pentagon, he can still make appearances like he did in season 2, episode 17 where his spark with Tennant was very much still alive.
Will Lucy Tara be in NCIS: Hawaii season 3?
While fans did have to spend some of the second season without her, leaving viewers to wonder if Lucy would be making a permanent exit after she decided to take a position as an ‘afloat’ NCIS agent. However, that turned out not to be the case and it looks like the actress Yasmine Al-Bustami is expected to be a part of the season 3 cast.
Will John Swift (Henry Ian Cusick) be in NCIS: Hawaii season 3?
Probably not. Cusick’s arc was tied to the two-part finale. However, due to his character Swift’s position in the NCIS Office of Special Projects as a Supervisory Agent, he could make a return if Tennant needs to step away from the team due to CIA business that needs to get handled. Or if he’s brought in to oversee a high stakes case.
Will Sam Hanna be in NCIS: Hawaii season 3?
Yes! LL Cool J made a surprise cameo as Sam in the season 2 finale. However, that wasn’t a one-off appearance. Back in May 2023, TVLine reported that the rap legend and actor has joined the series in a guest starring role, giving Sam’s story the opportunity to continue despite the end of NCIS: Los Angeles after fourteen seasons.
Rest of the cast expected to return:
Vanessa Lachey as Jane Tennant
Alex Tarrant as Kai Holman
Noah Mills as Jesse Boone
Jason Antoon as Ernie Malik

Kian Talan as Alex Tennant
Mahina Napoleon as Julie Tennant
Julie White as Maggie Shaw
