Ncis’ Eric Olsen Calls For Deek’S Return In New Spin-Off Series After La Cancellation

The NCIS universe is expanding once again with the arrival of NCIS: Sydney. However, one of the stars of the recently axed NCIS: Los Angeles has given fans hope of a possible return.

Earlier this year the hit spin-off show NCIS: Los Angeles came to an end following its fourteenth season. But fans of the NCIS universe will be relieved to discover that the franchise is going international with the upcoming new series NCIS: Sydney

This news comes just six months after NCIS: Los Angeles’ cancellation and one of its stars appears to be calling for his character to return to the franchise.

Eric Olsen, who played the beloved Investigator Marty Deeks on the LA show, took to the official NCisverse Instagram account to leave a comment on the trailer for the new Sydney-based season.

He teased: “Deeks loves surfing and Oz has great waves……”

So, could his character be set to make a return? Or is that just wishful thinking for viewers?

Ultimately, Deek’s story came to a happy end as he and his partner Kensi (Daniela Ruah) found out that they were hav ing a baby.

Whether or not any of the characters from NCIS, NCIS: Hawaii or NCIS: New Orleans will appear Down Under is still to be seen. But in the trailer fans have gotten a sneak peek of some of the upcoming scenes, as well as the new team.

The cast of NCIS: Sydney includes co-leads; NCIS special agent Michelle Mackey (Olivia Swann) and Sergeant Jim ‘JD’ Dempsey (Todd Lasance). NCIS Special Agent DeShawn Jackson (Sean Sagar), AFP liaison Officer Constable Evie Cooper (Tuuli Narkle), AFP forensic scientist Bluebird ‘Blue’ Gleeson (Mavournee Hazel) and AFP forensic pathologist (William McInnes) also make up the Australian-based team.

CBS’ Entertainment president, Amy Reisenbach, revealed: “NCIS is one of the most popular series in the world and we’re thrilled to expand this franchise with a uniquely Australian twist.”

She continued: “”Featuring the stunning backdrop of Australia, the new series will incorporate the high-stakes intrigue, humour and camaraderie that have kept fans captivated by the NCIS teams for over two decades.” CBS have teased that NCIS: Sydney will see a “brilliant and eclectic team of US NCIS agents” join the Australian Federal Police “to keep naval crimes in check in the most contested patch of ocean on the planet.”

NCIS: Sydney will premiere on Monday, November 13 on CBS in the USA. A UK release date has yet to be announced.
