Heartland Season 17 Episode 02 Full Episode (Official+) English Subtitles

Another really nice episode, continuing the theme of the importance of “Family”, the people, and animals, which give our lives meaning . Typical of most episodes, there are three main storylines – Amy and Edwin, Lou’s re-election campaign, Logan working with his client’s horse – but there is a also a fourth storyline that is not really one of the main three but is important in the world of Heartland – the passing of Remi. There are also interwoven lesser storylines about Katie’s love for writing and the issue with Pryce Beef. The Amy-Edwin storyline is nominally about Edwin having Amy help him with one of this horses, a horse he used to jump but who has issues doing so. Amy thinks the horse only enjoyed jumping due to the bind he had with Edwin and Edwin no longer jumps him, so Amy wants to retrain him as a wagon racing hors (and Buddy gets added to the mix as Jack is no longer using him now that he has Blue). We quickly find, however, that Edwin’s main desire for having Amy help is that he likes Amy. As we have seen in the past, that while Amy is great at picking up cues from horses, she is not very good at doing the same for humans, so she dosn’t see Edwins interest in her at first, leading to an uncomfortable dinner at Maggies. The second storyline is about Lou running for mayor. She ends up losing but Lou is again showing signs of growth, showing that she has begun to realize that Family is the most important thing, and the storyline is a reflection of this in a couple of ways. The mayoral race also reflects that Tim has grown a lot in similar ways. At first, he pushes Lou like he would normally do, albeit in a subdued way for Tim, but, in the end, I think he realizes why she accepted the loss. The third storyline is about Logan working with a client horse who is a afraid of flags and its a reflection of him gaining confidence in working with horses on his own. We also see him and Katie connecting again. The storyline about Remi is interwoven into these other storylines. The episode begins with us being shown hints that something may be wrong with Remi – Jack finds Lyndy trying to cook chicken for Remi because he is not eating anything else. We see Logan and Katie searhing for Remi, woven into Logans efforts to work with the client horse. And we see Remi playing a part in Lou’s acceptance that she lost the mayoral race. Amy eventually finds Remi dying and they have a touching memorial. It must have been emotional for Amber to do this given that Remi was her and Shawn’s dog and she would have had the same emotions when the real Remi passed away…. As an aside, we find out where the Amy and Jack wagon storyline we saw during filming fits in and also that Logan holding the Garland Foods flag actually had nothing to do with Garland Foods. We did not find out much about the Pryce Beef issue. Snf Lisa is still “somewhere else”. jack does talk to her on the phone….
