‘General Hospital’s Billy Miller’s Fans Question His Alleged ‘Longtime Love’ for Staying Silent on His Death

It has now been a few days since soap opera icon Billy Miller tragically passed away at 43. The “All My Children” star was only two days away from celebrating his 44th birthday on September 17.

As confirmed by representatives and, more recently, his mother, Miller had been battling with bipolar depression for years. He died in Austin, Texas, last week Friday.

Before Miller’s mom released a statement concerning his death, there had been other speculations about how the star died. However, his doting mom set the record straight and thanked the countless supporters and personal friends of the actor for extending love, prayers, and condolences:
“…He did everything he could to control the disease. He loved his family, his friends and his fans but in the end the disease won the fight and he surrendered his life. The other causes of death being told are not true…”

Miller’s career saw him accomplish huge successes in both television and film. Most notably, he won three Daytime Emmys for his time on “The Young and the Restless” as Billy Abbot, where he starred in over 700 episodes. When he went on to join the cast of “General Hospital,” Miller appeared in almost 600 series episodes.

During Miller’s time on “General Hospital,” he starred alongside Kelly Monaco. On the show, the pair played each other’s love interest. Outside of her time on the popular show, the American actress, originally of Italian descent, is also known for being one of the celebrity contestants on “Dancing with the Stars” in 2005.

The Northhampton Community College attendee is also known for her philanthropic endeavors, which saw her participate in the 2009 Feed the Children initiative. Additionally, Monaco has done some volunteer work with a program called iParticipate.

As co-stars, Monaco and Miller shared a great relationship that blossomed into a close friendship. From posts of the two of them going to lunch and sharing a kiss in Monaco’s dressing room to celebrating Miller’s 40th birthday together, there was a lot of speculation about the two sharing a romantic connection when Miller was still alive.
It was no secret that the two shared a special bond. This was also apparent when Monaco was asked how she felt when Miller joined the “General Hospital” cast in a previous interview. The actress emphatically answered:
“I was like, ‘Thank you! Thank you for the blessings, Soap Gods!’…I just felt something from him as Billy…”
Fans Have Questioned Why Kelly Monaco Has Kept Silent about Billy Miller’s Death
As news of the “Truth Be Told” talent’s death circulated around the public and the entertainment industry, many of his fans, loved ones, and co-stars wasted no time sharing heartfelt tributes dedicated to the late star. Noticeably missing, however, was Monaco, who, according to a news outlet, was considered his:
“longtime love.”
Many of Miller’s fans are puzzled and surprised that Monaco has not yet said anything about the late actor’s death. One social media user questioned:
“Has Kelly Monaco responded yet to his passing?”
Although many expressed disappointment and confusion about Monaco’s silence, others quickly defended her. Instead of questioning her, Monaco’s supporters showed the actress sympathy for the loss she has just endured, brought up positive memories shared between her and Miller, and tried to combat the backlash:
“Omg what is wrong with these people? Leave Kelly Monaco alone! Let her grieve in peace…”
Although fans have questioned Monaco for not speaking out about Miller’s death, many defended her and said she has good reason to be silent as she mourns the loss of her close friend.
