CBS Fall TV Shows 2023: The Complete Schedule And Premiere Dates

It’s going to be a g’day for CBS on Nov. 13. That’s when the newest addition to the NCIS franchise, NCIS: Sydney, premieres Stateside, a few days after debuting in its native Australia on Paramount+ Australia. But it’s not the only new-to-CBS show coming this fall. Yellowstone, the Paramount Network monster hit, will make its broadcast debut on Sunday, Sept. 17, and it does so while other shows’ fall debuts are delayed by the ongoing writers and actors strikes for fair compensation. That means new seasons of returning shows like The Equalizer, NCIS, and Fire Country will have to wait until a later date, and new seasons of reality television and scripted reruns take up most of the real estate.

Other shows airing on CBS this fall include the original U.K. version of Ghosts — which will be paired on Thursday nights with reruns of the CBS version — and the Paramount+ series SEAL Team and FBI True. They’re joined by new reality shows Lotería Loca, hosted by Jaime Camil; Buddy Games, hosted by Josh Duhamel; and game show Raid the Cage.

The previous CBS fall schedule included new series Elsbeth, a spin-off of The Good Wife and The Good Fight centered on Carrie Preston’s quirky lawyer Elsbeth Tascioni; and Matlock, a new take on the classic series with Kathy Bates taking over the Matlock mantle as a lawyer in her 70s who returns to the workforce. Now, both of those have been pushed off the fall schedule; new premiere dates for those series have not been announced.

Two other new series were already slated for midseason: Tracker, a drama starring This Is Us’ Justin Hartley as a man who uses his tracking skills to help solve mysteries, and the new Damon Wayans comedy Poppa’s House, starring Wayans as a former talk show host trying to keep up with the times. Tracker was previously announced for the post-Super Bowl premiere slot.

Returning series that were originally scheduled to air on CBS this fall included Young Sheldon, Blue Bloods, NCIS, and FBI, which have been switched to reruns.
