The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Doug Davidson (ex-Paul Williams) could get a chance to star on a different daytime drama if another soap snatches him up. Could a new opportunity await at The Bold and the Beautiful, Days of Our Lives or General Hospital?
It’s no secret that Davidson wasn’t happy about the treatment he received at Y&R.
Davidson has repeatedly voiced his complaints on social media, so it seems like he has no interest in returning to Genoa City.
Of course, Y&R doesn’t seem interested in bringing Davidson back either.
Paul Williams was last seen in 2020, and it was recently mentioned that he’s getting a divorce from Christine Blair Williams (Lauralee Bell).
Since Paul retired from the GCPD offscreen and has been spending time in Portugal, it seems like it’s truly the end of the road for him.
However, Doug Davidson has a big fan base and decades of soap experience.
It’d be smart for another soap to hire Davidson, who could play a new character or even a recast of an existing character depending on what each show needs.
It’s possible Davidson could soap hop over to The Bold and the Beautiful, but Days of Our Lives and General Hospital are great options to consider as well.
New stories are always kicking off that require fresh faces, so there’s the potential for Davidson to come on the scene in an exciting role somewhere.
Davidson feels he got burned at Y&R, but he might have better luck at B&B, DOOL or GH if one of them is willing to put him on the cast.
