Princess Kate has revealed the mundane task she can skip thanks to a special royal rule.
The Princess of Wales has a long list of tasks she is obliged to carry out as part of her duties as a senior working member of the Royal Family.
But there is one specific rule she must abide by that may disappoint some of her young fans.
Her admission came during a visit to the Chelsea Flower Show earlier this year, where Kate was touring the grounds of the Royal Entomological Society’s garden with school children.
According to the The Telegraph, she told the children during a chat: “My name’s Catherine. I’m not allowed to write my signature, it’s just one of those rules.”

But to avoid the young kids leaving their meeting with the royal disappointed, Kate kindly drew some sketches for them.
One drawing was of a flower, while another was of a tree. A third was of a pond surrounded by a few plants.
During the same trip, Kate sat down to enjoy picnic time with the children and they quizzed Kate on her life in the Royal Family.
She told them: “You have to work hard”.
Princess Kate also told the kids about her son Prince Louis’ educational life, revealing that he has been growing broad beans in the school garden.
In between carrying out her strict royal duties, Princess Kate has reportedly been the only member of the Royal Family that has been “helping the situation” between Prince Harry and William, according to royal expert Robert Jobson.
The author of Our King Charles III: The Man and the Monarch Revealed, exclusively told Daily Express US: “I’m not sure how much dialogue there is with William and Harry, at the moment, I think the only person that is helping the situation is Catherine, who is doing a brilliant job.”
He added: “First of all when the king wants to see his grandchildren, for example, it’s important to say that a lot of it has been through Catherine. But William and Harry, it’s a difficult one. I think as brothers they are more likely to get on the phone and have a conversation.”
