Heartland Season 17: What’s the cast up to behind the scenes?

The Heartland production is currently halfway through filming Season 17. It has been a hot and dry season filming the series to date, particularly in outdoor shoots. The cast and crew are keeping safe by drinking lots of water and wearing hats, shades, and sunscreen. Thankfully there was a few days of rain this week, and filming continued… Heartland’s Season 17 Production Manager, Gavin Biedler, shared a weather update this season, “Production has been an adventure so far with heat, haze, rain… Never a dull moment for Alberta weather… or as we say, wait 5 minutes and things will change.”

Kerry James, who plays popular Heartland bronc rider Caleb, posed with his stunt double Sawyer Eirikson. Sawyer is an accomplished bronc rider and the son of Heartland’s legendary Stunt Coordinator Tom Eirikson, who was also an award-winning rodeo cowboy. We are so lucky to get the best of the best on our show.
